The truck driver, a unique position in the fir service. Depending on staffing, they may be working alone or as a team expected to think quick and act without supervision. In this 3-day class, participates will be given the opportunity to practice positioning and different placement options depending on tactics to accomplish (ventilation, Rescue, Master Stream) of a tower and ladder truck, understand the capabilities of each type of apparatus and perform outside truck function related to your staffing, including: gaining access, Vent-Enter-Search (VES), ground ladder mastery. Bridgeport Fire Rescue Department will provide both a tower and ladder truck for participants to start mastering their skills.
